The issue here is whether the Council of Portland is limited by the understanding between Big Oil Ltd and the Victorian Government as for the right of Big Oil Ltd to move its possession to another organization where it has at any rate 40% intrigue. Under the law, just the gatherings to an agreement reserve the option to authorize its terms and be given a privilege or be committed under it.1 This is alluded to as the rule of the privity of agreements, which was first settled in Australia on account of Tweedle v Atkinson.2 A severe use of this convention in the for this situation would imply that Best Oil Ltd can't uphold the half appraising concession as against the Council thinking about that it was anything but involved with the agreement between Big Oil Ltd and the Council of Portland. It is as for that agreement just an outsider. In any case, the regulation of privity is definitely not a straightforward principle the manner in which late cases have permitted exemptions to it. History of the Woodstock Music Festival of 1969

History of the Woodstock Music Festival of 1969 The Woodstock Festival (otherwise known as An Aquarian Exposition: Three Days of Peace and Music) was a three-day show (which folded into a fourth day) that included loads of sex, medications, and awesome, in addition to a great deal of mud. The Woodstock Music Festival of 1969 has become a symbol of the 1960s nonconformist counterculture. The celebration occurred on August 15-18, 1969, at Max Yasgurs dairy ranch in the town of Bethel (outside of White Lake, New York). The Organizers of Woodstock The coordinators of the Woodstock Festival were four youngsters: John Roberts, Joel Rosenman, Artie Kornfeld, and Mike Lang. The most seasoned of the four was just 27 years of age at the hour of the Woodstock Festival. Roberts, a beneficiary to a pharmaceutical fortune, and his companion Rosenman were searching for an approach to utilize Roberts cash to put resources into a thought that would get them significantly more cash-flow. In the wake of putting a promotion in The New York Times that expressed: Young men with boundless capital searching for fascinating, authentic venture openings and business suggestions, they met Kornfeld and Lang. The Plan for the Woodstock Festival Kornfeld and Langs unique proposition was to fabricate a chronicle studio and a retreat for rock performers up in Woodstock, New York (where Bob Dylan and different artists previously lived). The thought transformed into making a two-day stage performance for 50,000 individuals with the expectation that the show would collect enough cash to pay for the studio. The four youngsters at that point got the opportunity to chip away at sorting out an enormous performance. They found an area for the occasion up in a modern park in close by Wallkill, New York. They printed tickets ($7 for one day, $13 for two days, and $18 for three days), which could be bought in select stores or by means of mail request. The men additionally chipped away at sorting out food, marking performers, and recruiting security. Things Go Very Wrong The first of numerous things to turn out badly with the Woodstock Festival was the area. Regardless of how the youngsters and their legal counselors spun it, the residents of Wallkill didn't need a lot of medicated out radicals sliding on their town. After much fighting, the town of Wallkill passed a law on July 2, 1969, that viably restricted the show from their region. Everybody engaged with the Woodstock Festival froze. Stores would not sell additional tickets and the dealings with the artists got precarious. Just a month-and-a-half before the Woodstock Festival was to start, another area must be found. Fortunately, in mid-July, before such a large number of individuals started requesting discounts for their pre-bought tickets, Max Yasgur presented his 600-section of land dairy ranch in Bethel, New York forâ the area for the Woodstock Festival. As fortunate as the organizersâ were to have discovered another area, the very late difference in scene truly set back the Festival course of events. New agreements to lease the dairy ranch and encompassing territories must be attracted up and allows to permit the Woodstock Festival in the town must be procured. Development of the stage, an entertainers structure, parking areas, snack bars, and a childrens play area all got a poor start and scarcely got completed in an ideal opportunity for the occasion. A few things, similar to ticket counters and doors, didn't get completed in time. As the date drew nearer, more issues jumped up. It before long created the impression that their 50,000 individuals gauge was excessively low and the new gauge hopped to as much as 200,000 individuals. The youngsters at that point attempted to acquire more toilets, more water, and more food. Nonetheless, the food concessionaires continued taking steps to drop ultimately (the coordinators had inadvertently employed individuals who had no involvement with concessions) so they needed to stress over whether they could transport in rice as a reinforcement food flexibly. Additionally problematic was the very late prohibition on off the clock cops from working at the Woodstock Festival. Several Thousands Arrive at the Woodstock Festival On Wednesday, August 13 (two days before the celebration was to start), there were at that point roughly 50,000 individuals outdoors close to the stage. These unexpected appearances had strolled directly through the immense holes in the fence where the doors had not yet been put. Since there was no real way to get the 50,000 individuals to leave the region so as to pay for tickets and there was no an ideal opportunity to raise the various entryways to forestall considerably more individuals from simply strolling in, the coordinators had to make the occasion a free show. This affirmation of a free show had two critical impacts. The first was that the coordinators would lose huge measures of cash by putting on this occasion. The subsequent impact was that as news spread that it was currently a free show, an expected one million individuals made a beeline for Bethel, New York. Police needed to dismiss a huge number of vehicles. It is assessed that 500,000 individuals really made it to the Woodstock Festival. Nobody had made arrangements for a large portion of a million people. The interstates in the zone actually became parking garages as individuals relinquished their vehicles in the road and just strolled the last separation to the Woodstock Festival. Traffic was awful to such an extent that the coordinators needed to employ helicopters to carry the entertainers from their lodgings to the stage. The Music Starts Notwithstanding all the coordinators inconveniences, the Woodstock Festival began about on schedule. On Friday evening, August 15, Richie Havens got up in front of an audience and formally began the Festival. Sweetwater, Joan Baez, and other people specialists likewise played Friday night. The music fired up again not long after early afternoon on Saturday with Quill and proceeded constant until Sunday morning around 9 AM. The day of hallucinogenic groups proceeded with so much artists as Santana, Janis Joplin, Grateful Dead, and The Who, to give some examples. It was evident to everybody that on Sunday, the Woodstock Festival was slowing down. The majority of the group left for the duration of the day, leaving around 150,000 individuals on Sunday night. When Jimi Hendrix, the last performer to play at Woodstock, completed his set from the get-go Monday morning, the group was down to just 25,000. Regardless of the 30-minute lines for water and at any rate hour-significant delay to utilize a latrine, the Woodstock Festival was a colossal achievement. There were a ton of medications, a ton of sex and bareness, and a great deal of mud (made by the downpour). After the Woodstock Festival The coordinators of Woodstock were stunned toward the finish of the Woodstock Festival. They didnt have the opportunity to concentrate on the way that they had made the most mainstream music occasion ever, for they originally needed to manage their mind boggling obligation (over $1 million) and the 70 claims that had been recorded against them. To their incredible alleviation, the film of the Woodstock Festival transformed into a hit film and the benefits from the film secured an enormous piece of the obligation from the Festival. When that everything was paid off, they were still $100,000 owing debtors.

As opposed to the conventional business frameworks, the information or the data can be put away into a shred database that empowers putting away the information at the same time from various sources. Because of the ne master frameworks, the general workers can play out th e master employments. Additionally with the assistance of programming apparatuses, the dynamic is a piece of everyones work and isn't the sole obligation of the chiefs. Once more, with the utilization of Enterprise programming, the necessary information can be introduced in a flash. The data framework can be thought as the relationship of three parts. The three parts are segment that gather information, another to segments that procedure and store the procedure information. Comprehension of Working Process of Information System The working procedure of a data framework is an entangled procedure. So this TPS used to store this sort of exchange information. The TPS guarantees that most extreme measure of information in least time and with insignificant mistakes. Venture data framework An Enterprise data framework is customized to satisfy the requirements of an association. Likewise, there are two classifications in the endeavor data frameworks. For instance, in the event that we take that a procedure control framework is checking the information of water stockpiling and occasionally perusing the information of poisons. On the off chance that whenever the sum f contaminations arrive at a foreordained worth, at that point the PCS sounds an alert to illuminate the concerned position. Now and again, the PCS can modify the types of gear to bring back the balance condition of the earth. Inverse to the TPS framework, the procedure control framework isn't initiated or activated in light of activity or exchange. After the usage of the MIS, the reports are printed more than once however with a similar organization, format and the conditions. With this significance, there are a few issues with the current framework as well. Like Support: the fundamental assignment of a data framework is to take input crude information and exceptional the data. All the divisions having their data framework and are creating the information in the association. A significant number of Cisco’s engineers leave for contender keeping in mind the desire of making the up and coming age of innovation. Procedure USED Cisco’s upper hand in the exchanging market has driven them into being market pioneers in different segments. Having the piece of the overall industry of the center system as the base layer of Infrastructure permits them to see the need of its clients. These segments have all been petitioners that use the Cisco center systems administration items that today has presented to them an industry piece of the overall industry in the accompanying zone. The center procedure utilized is there generally speaking cost initiative to make this upper hand Execution Market share per division Security 31% Computerized Video: IPTV-64% Exchanging: Modular/Fixed-69% Voice-37% Remote: LAN-54% Capacity: Area Networks-44% Steering: Edge/Core/Access-53% Arranged Home-23% Web Conferencing-38% (2) One center system they utilized in the zone of separation was the presentation of Voice over the system. Voice is an inheritance innovation made more than 100 years back and up to this point was run with a similar unique plan ideas. Cisco changed that framework purchase running voice over the IP organize. Today VOIP telephone frameworks are a norm and the first POTS (plain old pots lines) are presently viewed as heritage. They utilized acquisitions to purchase telephone suppliers and separate there center essential and produce them on IP systems., permitting today the utilization of voice over your PC Email Text. They were effective in this space anyway not all organizations can utilize this methodology for this specific innovation. There introduce base is so solid the market is soaked and would not be savvy. This system anyway is currently in the development phase of the business life cycle. They contain 69% of the voice market and they are kept on developing. The center establishments will inevitably decrease anyway the administration to keep up the telephones frameworks will keep on staying in the development stage. Cisco’s system depends on getting market transitionsâ€the showcase advances that influence our clients. With the multiplication of video and shared Web 2.0 advancements, the system keeps on developing from the pipes of the Internetâ€providing connectivityâ€to the stage that will change the manner in which we work, live, play and learn.â€â€"John Chambers, Chairman and CEO, Cisco THE ISSUES AND CHALLENGES FACING THIS COMPANY Cisco’s’ upper hand in certain parts can be kept up. The general advancement should proceed anyway more vulnerable segments where they have lost spotlight on have declined. In the case of the home Networked segment they keep up a low 23% piece of the overall industry. This has not been inline what the projections were the point at which they entered these business sectors. As of late they have declared they are moving endlessly from the locally situated market with an offer of their Linksys lien to Belkin (5) I accept the companies’ upper hand can be kept up in the event that they center around zones where they have control on piece of the overall industry. Shedding unrewarding business, for example, Linksys is a positive development. This item is obviously on the decrease side and Cisco should concentrate on development regions, for example, stockpiling zone systems. The companies’ culture is changing from when they were a littler endeavor they had the option to move with showcase needs more rapidly. The savage rivalry in the home market was one of the organization issues. I accept that they are an endeavors enterprise supplier of administrations and don't comprehend the requirements of locally established clients. Strategy RECOMMENDED I would encourage Cisco to concentrate on server stockpiling divisions. They are not a market chief in servers, for example, HP yet have new items that are changing the manner in which we organizations use servers. This is a separation procedure that will change the business whenever done accurately. They made a virtual server arrangement called UCS that if showcases accurately could accomplish future development in the server stockpiling segment. (6) I would utilize my market force and client to base to give these arrangements with ease and this will uncover an expansive client base to the item Sentiment What's your opinion of this contextual analysis? Portray what you accept are the exercises gained from this case. (10 focuses) I think this contextual analysis demonstrated me new ideas in key administration. By examining Cisco’s showcase predominance dependent on 46 billion in incomes I presently comprehend that having an upper hand must be kept up. Seeing Cisco currently leaving markets is another heading for them and these ideas have carried me to get that. LinkedIn says the 2011 most overused professional buzzwords in the United States are creative, organizational and effective

LinkedIn says the 2011 most overused professional buzzwords in the United States are “creative,” “organizational” and “effective” On December 13, 2011, LinkedIn released its “most overused” buzzwords list for 2011.   Here is the list of the top 10, with “creative” reigning at the top.   When a particular country or countries stood out for overuse of a term, the country name(s) are listed in parentheses: Creative (Australia, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States) Organizational Effective (India) Extensive experience Track record (Singapore) Motivated (Ireland) Innovative Problem solving (Italy) Communication skills Dynamic (France) The good news?   Some people heeded last year’s list and stopped overusing at least some of the following 2010 Overused Buzzwords: Extensive experience Innovative Motivated Results-oriented Dynamic Proven track record Team player Fast-paced Problem solver Entrepreneurial The four exact matches between 2010 and 2011 years are “motivated,” dynamic, innovative and extensive experience. There are also some near matches with “problem solving” vs. “problem solver” and proven track record vs. track record (I personally have tired of all of these terms). I believe job seekers and career professionals have done some good work changing the landscape four of the terms on the list have changed, and all of them have changed rank.   Lets face it:   There will be overused words every year.   I’m just glad to see we’re learning lessons along the way. How Creative are You? This year’s primary lesson:   Don’t say you are “creative” â€" demonstrate your creativity!   Design and upload a PowerPoint presentation to SlideShare and post it to your LinkedIn profile.   Give examples of marketing strategies you devised.   Include your artistic portfolio in your profile.   And don’t use the same words everyone else is using!   We now know that asserting you are “creative” is a sure way to prove that you are not. Met or Exceeded Organizational Goals? “Organizational” is a bit tougher.   How do you say you met organizational goals without saying you met organizational goals?   One thing to keep in mind is that of course you are going to strive for and meet organizational goals!   What other goals would you possibly want to report?   I admit I will be a little sad to let this term go, but I see the point of finding alternatives.   “Meet targeted goals” would be just as effective (oh did I say “effective”?   Send me to India where I’ll be in good company!)   Or perhaps a chart of goals vs. accomplishments would obviate the need for the term organizational.   I predict that next year “goal(s)” and “target(s)” will top this list. Devise an Effective Strategy Lately? Thankfully there are a multitude of ways to convey the concept of “effective.”  â€œSuccessful” is the clearest alternative, followed by “winning,” “profitable,” “lucrative,” “productive,” “fruitful,” “targeted” and even “efficacious” (I don’t love that last one as a resume/profile adjective).   Take your pick or find another way to say what you mean!   (Sometimes you can just leave out the adjective completely, as I did by avoiding “find another effective way” in that last sentence.) As for extensive experience and track record, these terms are like nails on a blackboard to me.   I see them a lot and make short work of them on my resumes. How many of these top 10 overused words show up in your profile?   Please share below. Even if you have a tolerant attitude toward marijuana or perhaps smoke itâ€"or used to smoke itâ€"yourself, you probably would not want your young children to use it due to the damage it can do to their young, developing brains. Or, you may be like many parents and think that your child will not get involved with drugs or alcohol, because you have discussed the dangers with them, and besides, smoking weed is something that older children do, not your child. Kids Are Using Marijuana at Earlier Ages These Days One problem is children today are beginning to smoke marijuana very early in life. National surveys may indicate that the average age that children first smoke weed is 16, but that means many of them started much earlier for the average to be age 16. In fact, one survey of children in treatment for substance abuse  found that 14 percent of them first smoked marijuana before age 13. Marijuana Is More Available Today Another problem is availability. Research has found that availability plays a large role in youngsters becoming involved with substance abuse whether it is alcohol, inhalants, prescription drugs, or marijuana. Make no mistake about it, marijuana is becoming more and more available to young children, even in elementary and middle school. In response to surveys, a growing percentage of teens report that they know someone who sells drugs or know where they can buy drugs. In fact, some teens report they can get marijuana easier than they can alcohol. Legalization Has Changed Attitudes The growth of the marijuana legalization movement in the United Statesâ€"for both medical and recreational useâ€"has had an effect on how children perceive the use of marijuana. Fewer teens report seeing it as harmful or dangerous. And finally, if you are a parent who does smoke marijuana, or even if you merely express approval of the use of weed around your children, they are much more likely to smoke it themselves compared with children whose parents disapprove of the drug. Given all of these factors, you might want to rethink whether or not your child might be involved in marijuana use, especially if they have shown any of the signs outlined below. How to Tell If Someone Has Been Using Marijuana  If someone is actually high on marijuana, there may be some visible signs that they are under the influence: They may seem unsteady on their feet or appear dizzy. They could have bloodshot eyes. They might laugh inappropriately or seem silly for no reason. They may have difficulty remembering something that just happened. As the effects wear off, they may become sleepy. Evidence of Smoking Behavior Even if they are not visibly high, there are some signs you can look for that linger after they have been smoking: The odor will linger and cling to their clothesDrug paraphernalia such as rolling papers or pipesSudden uncharacteristic use of eye dropsThe use of incense or room deodorizersPro-drug slogans on t-shirts or postersEvidence of smoking, such as lighters, ashes Sudden Behavioral Changes Although these behavioral changes could be related to other typical teenage issues, they also could indicate marijuana use: TirednessHostility or mood swingsSocial withdrawalDepressionDeclining attention to hygiene, groomingDeteriorating relationships Changes in Interests These signs could also indicate other teenage-related problems, they also could be prompted by the use of marijuana: A change in friends or peer groupDeclining grades in schoolIncreased absenteeism or truancyChanges in eating habitsA change in sleep patternsLoss of interest in sports or other activitiesBehavioral problems at schoolBrushes with the law What to Do If You Suspect Your Child Has Been Using Marijuana If you suspect that your child has been using marijuana, you may want to just sit down and talk to them about it. If your child is using marijuana, chances are he or she will deny it and blame any evidence you found on someone else. But, carefully watch their reaction to your conversation with them. If they over-react, that too could be an indication of their involvement with marijuana or other drugs. How about drug testing your child? There are home drug tests available that parents can use to test their children, but be aware that there are some drawbacks when parents decide to test their kids. 10 Pictures of Marijuana to Help Identify Different Forms

Write an Essay About Movie and Video Game Violence - 550 Words

Write an Essay About Movie and Video Game Violence (Essay Sample) Content: Name:Professor:Course:DateMovie and video game violence. It is quite evident that recently every mass media has its own setback. Movies and video games are among components of mass media that are associated with violence. Teens and children have apparently fallen into the trap of indulging in the violent video game as well as movies which heighten the need to create awareness of their effect. An example of violent video games includes Call of Duty where the main player kill other people. A thought runs a persons mind that before the player plays the game, he/she has some problem for instance resentment. To assist the parents in protecting the children from engaging in the violent media, the United States, for example, has forced the companies associated with the creation of movie and video game to take responsibility by creating their own rating system thus the creation of Entertainment Software Rating Board (Ferguson, 2015). But the real question is whether movies and video game violence have effect on the young generation?Increased feelings of hostility have been contributed by movie and video game violence. When children involve themselves in watching these games and videos, they become prone to incorrect thinking leading to stress as well as bad behaviour. In return, it influences their growth as their emotional aspect is intoxicated leading to lack of sleep, stress and anxiety and eventually generates emergence of disease. A mental disorder can also be contributed to media violence which later results to children abandoning their education. Thus media violence becomes a catalyst to risky behaviour among children and teens. The statistic shows that most children with extensive view of violent movie and game have aggressive thought and behaviours (Carnagey, et al, 2007).Media violence has also led to views which are more, so children to become less sensitive to pain and existence of an attitude of less care about people around them (Ferguson, 2015). When children are exposed to many videos watching and playing violent games, they get possess a feeling to know everything. For example when kids watch movie with murdering themes then an image of killing remain in their minds thus creating absence of humanity in them that may later lead to crime. Thus media violence may trigger them to become more violent and care less about people around them.It should also be noted that, media violence has led to its justification as a way of living which becomes a predicament in the real life situation. Some researcher suggests that children and young people become product of violence as they embrace and practice it. An example of the American war in Vietnam created images of use of guns, bombs, nuclear weapons, rapes among other inhuman acts horrible acts on humankind as heartlessness among children watching these scenes. Watching ones people die for young people can lead to the individual waiting till they have the full range of power a nd utilize to violence behaviour (Grossman, et al, 2009). For instance, the late Saddam Hussein who was Iraq president was so ruthles...

The And Metaphysical Idea Of Human Rights - 927 Words

Now that we have somewhat familiarized ourselves as to the foreign concept of what human rights can be described as, let us attempt to conceptually define this impalpable and metaphysical idea of human rights. Human rights are defined by one’s own personal truth: many people, especially those who lean more toward the right, can see them as something that is dispensable; something to interchange constantly when convenient and for those whom they feel are more deserving of the luxuries that come with it; I mean no disrespect by this, however I personally fail to see why a underdeveloped fetus, whom often is not much more than a blob of human cells cultivating has more of a right to life than say, a little boy whose family came here illegally for a better life and are then turned away, and essentially left for dead, and how a poor starving family is told that they are not worth a nominal tax raise and how though that fetus might be forced to stay alive against the mother’s will and right to choice because of shortcuts in state policy, her medical bill will not be paid for nor free universally, or how a child of war torn country who has never been able to afford childhood, is dismissed, discriminated against and seen as a terrorist, or how children working in sweatshops for less than a dollar across seas could be seen as by a party supporting ‘family values’ as morally acceptable, or even how thousands civilians can be innocently killed in a war over greed for oil companiesShow MoreRelatedReasons for the Rejection of Anti-Realism in Relation to Mental Disorders 1422 Words   |  6 Pagespresent two arguments that Graham proclaims support anti-realism. If the the life of the well is less; then the pipelines are not profitable option for transportation. Pipelines are preferred only when the life of the well is longer. The selection of pipeline is also dependent on the production rate for particular duration. 3.3.2 Maintenances wise Maintenance includes consideration (clearing) the corrosion, scale and slug formation. The pipelines have higher level of possibilities for expenditures to keep the system in proper condition. Shuttle tankers have the less maintenance cost than that of the pipelines. However, the owners do the maintenance as the oil company hires the tankers. 3.3.3 Cost wise Cost wise consideration includes cost 3.3.3.1 Seasonal cost Seasonal is more preferable when the investment is is low. However seasonal are effective in managing the expenditure in a periodic manner. Second case is hiring the shuttle tanker for a period of rental cost. For pipelines, the cost has to be spent in made at a single interval during construction. 3.3.3.2 Overall cost Overall cost includes the total expenditure in the transportation for the entire transportation volume. For the transportation, there will be slight variation depending on the mode of transportation. Probability wise analysis Probability wise analysis is the analysis based on probability of different cases. Probability wise analysis includes considering all the possible outcomes. These outcomes help to select the effective method, which will be more economical. For the Alba field there are 12 possible cases. These cases can be assumed in the following flow chart Figure 1 Flow chart (showing the connectivity) Table based on the individual cost for various options: No of years Well development cost (mm$) Processing cost (mm$) Transportation cost ( mm$) Total cost ( mm$) 9 200 540 360 1100 9 200 540 340 1080 9 200 540 400 1140 9 200 720 360 1280 9 200 720 340 1260 9 200 720 400 1320 6 240 540 360 1140 6 240 540 340 1120 6 240 540 400 1180 6 240 480 360 1080 6 240 480 340 1060 6 240 480 400 1120 Table 1 individual cost The possible combinations are for development, processing, transportation are WELLS (W) PROCESSING (P) TRANSPORTATION (T) W1 P1 T1 W1 P1 T2 W1 P1 T3 W1 P2 T1 W1 P2 T2 W1 P2 T3 W2 P1 T1 W2 P1 T2 W2 P1 T3 W2 P2 T1 W2 P2 T2 W2 P2 T3 Table 2 probability cases Different cases with the cost No Cases duration in years Well development cost in mm$ Processing cost in mm$ Transportation cost in mm$ Total cost in mm$ 1 W1P1T1 9 200 540 360 1100 2 W1P1T2 9 200 540 340 1080 3 W1P1T3 9 200 540 400 1140 4 W1P2T1 9 200 720 360 1280 5 W1P2T2 9 200 720 340 1260 6 W1P2T3 9 200 720 400 1320 7 W2P1T1 6 240 540 360 1140 8 W2P1T2 6 240 540 340 1120 9 W2P1T3 6 240 540 400 1180 10 W2P2T1 6 240 480 360 1080 11 W2P2T2 6 240 480 340 1060 12 W2P2T3 6 240 480 400 1120 Table 3 case wise cost This table gives the cost in each case. Recommendation or the best selection The selection of W2P2T1 large capacity, floating and shuttle tanker is the recommended selection as it the safest and most economical of all the cases. This is more economical from the table. In the W2P2T1 the floating vessel is taken which is more effective than the other two options. As the floating vessel can be towed to other location The selection of tankers are made W2P2T1, so that the less maintenance problem than that of the pipelines. Selection of larger capacity well is economical as the production rate is higher which can compensate the expenditure at beginning at quick interval. Conclusion The W2P2T1 (large capacity, floating and shuttle tanker is the most effective and preferable for the selection as its more economical. This selection (floating vessel)is can be optimised for the extreme weather. The shuttle tankers are efficient as they have less leakage and low maintenance cost for the owned companies the large capacity wells are helpful to manage the expenditure. Key Points †¢ Bevacizumab promotes VTE through the induction of PAI-1 in a mouse xenograft model of human lung carcinoma †¢ Treatment with a PAI-1 inhibitor reduces bevacizumab-induced VTE. Abstract Thromboembolism is a major source of morbidity and mortality in patients with cancer. An increased incidence of venous thromboembolism (VTE) is associated with anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) treatment in cancer. However, the mechanism of VTE initiation remains elusive. In this study, we examined the effect of bevacizumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody against VEGF-A, on either an inferior vena cava stenosis or saphenous vein model in a xenograft mouse model. We found that treatment with bevacizumab accelerated

â€Å"To understand the cataclysmic turmoil that engulfed Russia in the years of 1914-1921, historians must focus their attention not on great men or on discrete events, but rather on the interactions of war, economics, and revolution. It was these interactions that drove the masses to revolution, propelled the Bolsheviks to power in 1917, and almost caused their downfall in 1921†¦Ã¢â‚¬ This statement requires an analysis of the development of Soviet Russia’s people and state as a whole instead of focusing on the individuals that spearheaded the movement. The need for cheap labor increased to supply the expanding industry that most often belonged to foreign capitalists, which further retarded the circulation of the economy in Russia. Not only did the Russian industrial economy become dominated by foreign interests, but the agriculture of Russia had not modernized. Up until the 1930’s, Russia relied on the 3 field method. This system involved a field for spring plant fall harvest, one for fall plant spring harv est, and the third field for grazing livestock and replenishing nutrients. The fields were rotated once a year, and in this way the land stayed suitable for farming. However, this method was extremely inefficient for high yields of crops and helped cause food shortages all over Russia; during the first decade of the 20th century, â€Å"†¦ Russia grew three and half times less oats then Denmark and Belgium†¦ three times less wheat than Germany and England†¦Ã¢â‚¬ (ABC 289) This combination of dependence on foreign capitalist industry and the inability to produce enough food led to widespread discontent, panic, and starvation. The night before, Annie suddenly felt a dull pain in her stomach and began throwing up.When the pain didn’t go away, they rushed to the hospital in the morning and have been waiting for hours. All the nurses they had spoken with simply dismissed it as stomach flu. With Annie running a fever and her pain getting worse by the minute, I was worried that it might be something more serious. As I watched Annie traced how her pain shifted, from her navel to her right abdomen, it suddenly hit me that her symptoms re semble that of appendicitis. I was far from certain, but I knew she needed to see a physician right away. Unable to convince the emergency room nurses to admit Annie, I made the decision to find a physician instead.
